Pause Protocol is a small, deliberately quiet app for people who love anxiously. It was built for the specific moment when the phone feels radioactive — when the reply hasn't come, the story in your head is escalating, and every part of you wants to text again.
Most tools for anxious attachment either explain the theory or ask you to journal about it later. Neither helps at 11:47pm. We wanted something you could open one-handed and use in ninety seconds: a guided pause, a place to log the urge instead of acting on it, a drawer of distractions for the gap, and — if you want it — a partner who can leave you a reassuring note to read when you have the capacity for it.
Over weeks, those small logs turn into something more useful than any advice: your own evidence. Which triggers actually recur. How long an urge really lasts when you don't feed it. How often the catastrophe arrived.
Nothing here asks you to be calmer than you are. The whole app exists to put a few honest minutes between the feeling and the send button.
There is no feed, no follower count, no public profile. Your logs and journal are yours; a paired partner only ever sees the sealed notes you choose to send.
We show you what your own logs say — the times of day, the triggers, the intensity curve — and let you draw the conclusions.
Pause Protocol is a self-help tool. It is not therapy, diagnosis, or crisis care, and we say so plainly everywhere it matters.
Pause Protocol is owned and operated by This Is My LLC, a limited liability company registered in the United States. It is an independent, self-funded product: we take no advertising, sell no data, and answer only to the people paying for the app.
The app is designed and maintained by a very small team who have lived on the anxious end of attachment themselves. We read every support email and most product decisions come straight out of them.
Subscriptions are sold directly by This Is My LLC; payments and invoices are processed by Stripe. For anything else, contact us.
Pause Protocol does not provide medical or mental-health treatment. If you are in crisis or thinking about harming yourself, please contact your local emergency services or a crisis line right away.
