Pause Protocol (the "Service") is operated by This Is My LLC ("we", "us", "our"), trading as Pause Protocol. These Terms & Conditions form the agreement between you and This Is My LLC. You can reach us at support@pauseprotocol.online.
By creating an account or continuing to use the Service you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please stop using the Service. You must be at least 16 years old and of legal age in your country to enter into this agreement. Where you sign up on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you have authority to bind it.
Pause Protocol is a self-guided wellbeing companion offering pause timers, breathing exercises, urge and journal logging, pattern summaries, distraction tools and optional partner pairing with sealed reassurance notes.
It is not therapy, medical care, mental-health treatment, crisis support, or professional advice of any kind, and it is not a substitute for them. The Service does not provide diagnosis or treatment. If you are in crisis or at risk of harm, contact your local emergency services or a crisis line immediately.

You must provide accurate information, keep it up to date, and keep your login credentials confidential. You are responsible for activity that occurs under your account. Notify us promptly at support@pauseprotocol.online if you believe your account has been compromised.
Pause Protocol offers a Free plan and a paid Plus subscription billed monthly or yearly, as shown on our pricing page. Subscriptions renew automatically for the same period until cancelled. You can cancel at any time from the Manage subscription screen, which opens your secure billing portal; access continues until the end of the paid period.
Pause Protocol Plus is sold directly by This Is My LLC, trading as Pause Protocol. Card payments, subscription billing, tax calculation and invoices are processed by Stripe on our behalf; we never receive or store your card details. Taxes are calculated at checkout where they apply. All customer service inquiries, cancellations and refunds are handled by us at support@pauseprotocol.online. If a renewal payment fails, we may retry the charge and, if payment remains unsuccessful, suspend Plus access until the subscription is brought up to date.
You must not misuse the Service. In particular, you must not:
Partner features depend on both participants acting in good faith. Either partner can unpair at any time, and we may suspend pairing features where we believe they are being abused.
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable right to use the Service within the plan you have selected. We retain all ownership of the Service and its intellectual property, including software, design, content and branding. You may not reverse engineer, resell or redistribute the Service.
You keep ownership of the content you write (journal entries, logs, notes) and grant us a limited licence to host and process it solely in order to provide the Service to you.
We work to keep the Service running well, but we do not guarantee that it will be uninterrupted, timely, secure or error-free. Features may change, and maintenance or third-party outages may affect availability. The Free plan's limits may be adjusted from time to time; changes to paid features will be communicated in advance.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available" and we disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the Service is limited to the fees you paid in the twelve months before the claim. We exclude liability for indirect, consequential or special damages, including loss of profits, data or goodwill. Nothing in these terms excludes liability for fraud, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any liability that cannot be excluded by law.
You agree to indemnify us against claims arising from your content, your unlawful use of the Service, or your breach of these terms.
We may suspend or terminate your access for material breach of these terms, non-payment, security or fraud risk, or repeated or serious policy violations. You may close your account at any time. On termination you may export your data for 30 days, after which it is deleted or anonymised in line with our privacy notice.
We may update these terms as the Service evolves. Material changes will be communicated by email or in the app before they take effect; continued use afterwards means you accept the updated terms. If you do not accept a change, you may close your account before it takes effect.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, United States, and the courts of that jurisdiction have exclusive jurisdiction, except where mandatory consumer law gives you the right to bring a claim in your own country. You may not assign this agreement without our consent; we may assign it in connection with a merger or acquisition. Neither party is liable for delays caused by events beyond its reasonable control. If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect.
