Install it on your phone, and use it offline

Pause Protocol is now installable on iOS and Android, and the pause timer and dashboard keep working with no connection.

The hardest moments rarely happen somewhere with good signal.

So Pause Protocol is now a proper installable app. On Android and desktop Chrome you will see an install prompt in the app itself. On iOS, open the site in Safari, tap Share, then Add to Home Screen. Either way you get an icon, a full-screen launch with no browser chrome, and a splash screen while it opens.

Installing also buys you two shortcuts. Long-press the icon and you can jump straight to Start a pause or Log an urge without touching the dashboard first.

Offline is the more important half. The guided pause timer and your dashboard are cached, so if you open the app in a lift, a basement, or on a plane, the timer still runs the full ten minutes. Anything you log while offline is held locally and syncs the next time you have a connection, so a dead zone does not cost you the entry.

What still needs a connection: sealed notes to your partner, pairing with a code, and billing. Those all touch someone else, so they wait.

If the app ever looks stale after an update, close it fully and reopen it once. The new version installs in the background and swaps in on the next launch.
